Who We Are

Karman Contracting Inc. is a full service project management and home renovation company that is owned and operated by Gail Miller. We are based out of Ladysmith, British Columbia and proudly serve clients in Ladysmith, Chemainus, Cedar, Yellowpoint, Crofton, Duncan, throughout the Cowichan Valley and the surrounding area.

Gail transitioned to Project Management and residential construction in 2008 and has never looked back. Her interest in construction began when she was a child – her father was a home builder – and has grown to encompass all aspects of the industry; from structure to design.

In her career, Gail has had the good fortune to work in almost every type of home. Large, small, rural, inner city, they all have their interesting features and unique challenges.

Each project that we work on is unique and there is an amazing sense of accomplishment to restore them to their former glory, or (as in most cases) improve them in a way that makes a lot more sense for the people living there.

Acting as a Project Manager in New Home Construction has broadened her knowledge in building envelope science and the many aspects of BC’s Step Code. From seismic requirements to air tightness and ventilation, new home construction is an exciting part of the Industry for the Team.

Gail’s biggest strength is understanding the importance for the homeowner to know where things are at with their project to ease the stress that comes with undertaking a major renovation or new home build. Whether its scope changes being made, budget concerns or time frame to complete, consistent and accurate communication is key.
